just to chronicle in the past one week i have, * travelled across almost all the hill resorts in and around tamil nadu. * lazed around in peper farms at a kilometer above sea level. * went boating on a lake that was 'just' sixty feet deep. * went white water rafting at hogenakal. * went trekking on a half feet wide path that descended for 3 Kms at an almost 90 degree gradient without any climbing gear and with bare feet. * went crawling into a cave 60 feet deep that would have either let a monkey walk through or a human crawl through in all fours again with a bare foot. * had bathe in a virgin water fall that fell from a height of 300 feet along with a couple of deers and one very inquisitive snake. * in the second part of the week starting friday i returned checked mails and then turned all devotional and went to a place near pondy. * my week ended boating in marshlands full of herons, oysters, and snake living in an ever growing cluster of burgeoning mangroves. Just realized that throughout this week i have travelled over 3000 kms. Of which atleast 600 were in ghat roads. I have been through atleast 70 hairpin bends and innumerable spirals. I have driven through atleast 400 kms of seaside roads and in the entirety the only thing that strikes my mind is this anecdote : I was on top of one of the many pristine peaks of the sevarayan range about 2 kms above ground level. I was all elated with the "i am on top of the whole world" feeling. Just then i saw above me a pariah kite gliding and lazily diving in nonchalance. there are somethings that are always above you. no matter how high a mountain you scale you will always realize that nature still ends up remaining a tad bit higher than your maximum reach. that moment of solemnity can seldom be matched to any thing else. OR MAY BE IT CAN BE : TRY THIS. P.S This was a long and nice post ...but bleddy scribefire screwed up again and resulted in this abridged version.
